Peter Pan

David Barrett’s musical adaptation of Peter Pan continues to be very popular in English speaking countries around the world as well as in countries where English is the second language. This version of Peter Pan is very faithful to Barrie’s original and is modelled on the original Barrie play script with the added advantage that no flying is necessary. The snappy script is accompanied by a tuneful and memorable musical score, which is supported by instrumental backing tracks for performance. This musical has been performed successfully by a range of age groups ranging from primary schools through to colleges and from youth clubs to church drama societies and amateur theatre companies. The rights for this play were bequeathed by Barrie to Great Ormond Street hospital and this bequest was perpetuated permanently by an act of parliament. This means that the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity benefits from each and every performance given in most countries around the globe.

Pantomimes

The pantomimes in our catalogue continue to be very popular with schools and amateur groups. They are short scripts with plenty of speaking parts. Although there is no musical score, there are suggestions for songs in the script which can be substituted by any songs appropriate for the cast.

Some of our pantomimes, such as Snow White and Treasure Island, are written for adult performers and come complete with musical scores. The melodies are taken from well-known folk songs so the cast can easily learn them and there are orchestral backing tracks available for performance. This new play, for adults, is a comedy which parodies the story lines of some of Shakespeare’s plays, notably Twelfth Night. The story is set in the business world in the twentieth century. It is a small cast play which will delight your audience with its witty script and twists and turns in the plot. This is new to out catalogue and is awaiting an enterprising company to give its debut performance.

Saint Tabitha's

We are pleased to be able to launch our latest musical comedy, perfect for children and younger adults, which is set in an unruly girls’ school in the 1950s and is reminiscent of well-known plays of this genre. This has a sparkling musical score and backing tracks for performance. It is a large cast play, including some male roles, although the cast list is predominantly female.

Performance Licensing

Our licensing structure is very clear and straight forward and there are no hidden extras. Our scripts all come with a licence for one performance, which can be topped up if a longer run is required. Unlike some companies, we do not charge extra for performances in spaces with a larger seating capacity.
